Nigeria @ 65: BOA Hails Tinubu, Abiodun, Nigerians on Independence Day

The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez, popularly known as BOA, has joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the Nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, with special tributes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON.

 

In a goodwill message issued on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Hon Balogun described the Independence milestone as both a celebration of freedom and a call to deeper reflection on Nigeria’s journey as a Nation.

 

“Sixty-five years after independence, our resilience as a people remains unbroken, and our determination to build a stronger and more prosperous Nation continues to inspire hope,” he said.

 

The Council Chairman applauded the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince (Dr.)Dapo Abiodun for his visionary leadership, describing his developmental strides across Ogun State as a clear testament to commitment and service.

 

He also lauded the patriotism of Nigerians who, despite the prevailing economic and security challenges, remain steadfast in their love for the Country.

 

BOA urged citizens of Abeokuta South and Nigerians at large to rededicate themselves to peace, unity, and Nation-building, stressing that progress could only be achieved through collective responsibility.

 

The number one citizen of Abeokuta South Local Government prayed that God would continue to bless Nigeria with enduring peace, guide its leaders with wisdom, and grant the Nation greater prosperity in the years ahead.

 

“On behalf of the Government and people of Abeokuta South Local Government, I wish all Nigerians a happy and fulfilling 65th Independence Anniversary,” Hon. Balogun declared.
