Yinka Adegun, Two Other Aspirants Selected As Frontrunners For Abeokuta South LG Chairmanship Bid

As Ogun State local government elections draw nearer, leaders and elders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta South Local Government have nominated three candidates for the position of Local Government Chairman.

The nomination which followed a consensus reached after a rigorous selection process.

The candidates included Olayinka Adegun, Bologun Olaniyi Afeez and Odetayo Bolade Mutiu.

It was gathered that the selection process involved over 23 aspirants from the 15 Wards of the local government.

The nominated candidates have been forwarded to the Governor for further review and selection.

The nominations are endorsed by the following leaders:

1. Chief Alhaji Tajudeen Lemboye (GAC Member)
2. Alhaji Muideen Soremekun (GAC Member)
3. Hon. Mrs Olabisi Abiola (Former MHR/GAC Member)
4. Chief Olu Odeyemi (Former Commissioner for Special Duties/GAC Member)
5. Rev. Owolabi (GAC Member)
6. Hon. Afolabi M Afuape (MHR)
7. Rt. Hon. Titilayo Oseni (Former Speaker, OGHA)
8. Hon. Ayodele Wasiu Sunday (Member, OGHA)
9. Hon. Olufemi Ilori-Oduntan (Commissioner for Rural Development)
10. Hon. Adefolu Sabur (Assistant State Youth Leader, APC Ogun State)
