Three Suspects Arrested in Connection with Kidnapping, Murder of 15-Year-Old in Ogun State
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 15-year-old boy, Yahu Muhammad, in Ogun State.
According to a statement released by the State Commander of So-Safe Corps, Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, the suspects were apprehended on September 7, 2024, after a ransom of N500,000 was paid but the victim was not released.
The suspects, identified as Umar Muhammad (24), Audu Muhammad (22), and Umar Danda (22), were found to have killed the victim despite receiving the ransom.
The victim’s body was discovered at the kidnappers’ den, located at Olodo Karaoke along Anigbado-Idiemi road.
The So-Safe Corps Special Squad at Imala was assisted by the Vigilante Group in apprehending the suspects.
The victim’s corpse and the suspects have been transferred to the Imala Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and potential prosecution.
Commander Ganzallo commended the operatives for their assistance in the arrest of the third suspect, Umar Danda. The incident occurred while the victim was rearing cattle in the Akara forest area.
