Think Outside the Box: Be a Job Creator With Your Education – Pelican CEO Tell Students
The Chief Executive Officer, of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Dr Babatunde Adeyemo has told the secondary school students in the country to aspire to be job creators rather than seek to be potential future job hunters.
Adeyemo, who is an anti-corruption ambassador, said that it was very pertinent to educate the mind of students on entrepreneurial skills when they are still young, boasting that it’s one reason why his company keeps growing because he had been able to deliver to customers with optimum integrity, character and delivery.
Dr Adeyemo disclosed this on Wednesday when he was featured as a guest speaker at the Nobel House College Career Day celebration, held at the school premises in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
The foremost real estate entrepreneur urged the students to always think of becoming an employer of labour, saying that it is one of the surest ways that can help them to make their first millions at their tender age and also make them future billionaires.
Sighting David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, who was quoted as getting his first multi-million naira endorsement deal at age 16, the realtor challenged the young students to beat the popular singer’s record as a potential young realtor.
Adeyemo said, “I am here today to guide and implore you to see the real estate business as an opportunity. However, without integrity and good character, you may have a problem. I have been in this business for over ten years, and I have been honest with my customers. I have not disappointed any of them. My integrity and good character speak for me. The real estate business is lucrative, I started with 2.5 million to the glory of God. We have now grown to be a household name.
“I want to urge you to be versatile. When you leave here you are going to the universities of your choice. It is important you have to start developing your integrity and character because it is very important. We have so many personalities who made their first millions at a tender age, and you can also be part of them if you are consistent, ” he concluded.
The realtor implored the kids to go home and convince their parents to buy landed property from Pelican Valley, in the children’s name, describing such a move as the most conscious and surest way to secure the children’s future and also put them on the part of being a young realtor.
