
Reps Member Isiaka, Agitates for Reconstruction of Sango-Abeokuta Expressway
…Calls for Investigation on the abandonment of the road by the contractors
The House of Representatives member, representing the Ifo Ewekoro federal constituency, Hon. Ayokunle Isiaka has expressed displeasure over the deplorable conditions of the Sango-Abeokuta expressway in Ogun, lamenting the havoc caused by the road for the constituents.
Hon. Isiaka prayed to the 10th Assembly during a plenary sitting on Wednesday to look into the situation of the road, he noted that the concern of porthole, and erosion caused and damaged the road.
Isiaka employed the House to call on the Federal Ministry of Work to resume work and complete the construction of the Sango Ifo Abeokuta expressway.
He also told the Speaker of the House, to mandate the committee of work to investigate the causes of abandonment and demobilization of the contractors on the roads.
Isiaka submitted that he expected legislative action on the road in the next four weeks.
According to him” The situation of the Sango expressway is causing havoc to the people of the area, the concern is about the porthole, erosion caused by the damaging the road. I want you to call on the Federal Ministry of Work to resume work and complete the construction of the Sango Ifo Abeokuta Expressway”.
“I also want to call on the House to mandate the committee of work to investigate the causes of abandonment and demobilization of the contractors on the site”.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker House of Representative Kalu, who presided over the sitting on behalf of Speaker Abbas directed that the motion be moved.
