…Powa President, FPRO, describes the gesture as golden and expresses in-depth appreciation

It was a moment of joy and deep appreciation to God on Thursday 16th November 2023 through His servant and philanthropist, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), and PCRC National Patron, *Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere Nwanko* of Ohanku Village in Ndoki, Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State as 17 children of Police widows selected across all the 17 zones under the NPF formations received full university scholarships covering hostel accommodation and free lunch.

Described as one out of many notable achievements in celebration of the 1st anniversary of the current PCRC National Working Committee (NWC) under the leadership of the National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, the leadership of Police Officer’s Wife Association (POWA) ably led by wife of the Inspector General of Police, Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun acknowledged countless supports and highly impactful contributions from the PCRC to deceased, retired and serving Police personnel and their families across Nigeria through PCRC National Patrons, Youths and Women Committees.

Making further reference to recent initiatives of the PCRC National Youths and Women Committees at different Police children schools across the country and the FCT, where Police children were presented with books, school bags, and shoes; Mrs Egbetokun* declared that words alone cannot express how grateful the entire Powa family under her leadership felt and still feels towards the thoughtfulness of PCRC hierarchy across the nation and promised to sustain the current working partnership between the PCRC and Powa across Nigeria.

Recently, after his induction as PCRC National Patron in front of his church congregation during a Sunday service in Port Harcourt Rivers State, Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere presented a Mistibushi Mini Bus to the PCRC National Secretariat in support of mobility and logistics.

The man of God who grew up in Porthacourt Rivers State had a fair share of the harsh times in life during which he left Porthacourt for Lagos, where he slept under the bridge until he secured a job as a cleaner with the Nigeria Airport Authority. He later worked as a security guard and sold GSM recharge cards to survive.

While receiving the Philanthropist and PCRC National Patron in the company of the PCRC National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, his SSA on Religious/Diaspora Matters to the National Chairman and PCRC Zone 16 Chairman, Bishop Moses Omonkhuale* in his office at the Force Headquarters Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi lauded what he described as great, noble and compassionate gestures towards the NPF family from Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere through the PCRC National Secretariat, which so far has been outstandingly wonderful under the leadership of *Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan.*

The handsome prince from Owu Kingdom in Osun State and National Secretary of PCRC who was recently promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to the next rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) reaffirmed the PCRC’s recognition as the only organization established by the Nigeria Police Force to interface and bridge gaps between the Police and the community at large going to four decades now. He concluded with assurances that the NPF under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun will continue to prioritize the welfare of all serving, retired, and deceased Police personnel, pursue and implement innovations and strategies that will further strengthen the good partnership between the Police and every community Nigeria.
