Ojude Oba Festival: A Celebration of Unity and Harmony, VP Shettima to Attend
Vice President Kashim Shettima will attend the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival as the Special Guest of Honour.
The festival, themed “Ojude Oba: Unity and Harmony, Our Gifts”, will take place on June 18, 2024, in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
The festival celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Ijebu people and promotes unity, harmony, and religious tolerance. It features a colourful parade of culture and tradition, equestrian displays, music, and entertainment.
The Vice President’s attendance is expected to boost the festival’s profile, which has attracted dignitaries from across the country and beyond in previous years.
Other expected guests include the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and the Honourable Minister of Culture, Art and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa-Musawa.
Globacom is the main sponsor of the festival, with other sponsors including First City Monument Bank Plc, Ogun State Government, and Nigerian Breweries Plc. The festival promises to be a memorable one, with adequate security and traffic management measures in place.
