In a recent interview, Hon. Oke Rotimi Michael, Director General of IPAC Ogun State and State Chairman of ACCORD shed light on the true intentions behind the baseless allegations made by former IPAC leaders against Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun and the current IPAC leadership.

According to Hon. Oke Rotimi, these allegations are a desperate attempt to regain political relevance and distract the people of Ogun State from the significant developments made under Governor Abiodun’s administration.

The allegations, which include accusations of betrayal and misappropriation of N50 million, are unfounded and lack substantial evidence.

Hon. Oke Rotimi emphasized that the former leaders were removed from IPAC due to their divisive and ineffective governance, and their recent statements are merely an attempt to regain the limelight through falsehoods and deceit.

Under Governor Abiodun’s leadership, Ogun State has experienced stability and continuous development, with his administration fulfilling campaign promises and supporting democratic institutions like IPAC.

The current IPAC administration, led by Comrade Abayomi Sanyaolu, has promoted transparency and inclusivity, fostering collaboration among political parties.

Hon. Oke Rotimi called for security agencies to investigate the former leaders for inciting violence and unrest, emphasizing the need to protect citizens and IPAC leaders from reckless individuals.

He urged the people of Ogun State to disregard the baseless accusations and continue supporting Governor Abiodun’s administration, which is focused on building a better future.

“@Hon. Oke Rotimi said this recent move by the ex-IPAC leaders appears to be a thinly veiled effort to distract the people of Ogun State from the significant developments that have been made under the administration of Governor Abiodun. Their smear campaign is built on fiction and lacks any substantial evidence, calling into question the motives behind these claims”.

Baseless Allegations from a Discredited Group

The public must not be swayed by the theatrics of this disgruntled group, whose members were removed from IPAC leadership positions due to their divisive and ineffective governance.

These former leaders, who now claim to have been sidelined, were ousted precisely because they failed to foster unity and progress within the council. Their recent statements are nothing more than an attempt to regain the limelight through falsehoods and deceit.

One cannot help but wonder why these individuals have chosen this moment to make their accusations. Is it because they have failed to secure personal benefits from the current administration? Or is it simply that their vision for Ogun State does not align with the forward-thinking agenda of Governor Abiodun? Either way, their actions are motivated by selfish interests, rather than any genuine concern for the people of Ogun State.

Governor Abiodun: A Pillar of Stability and Progress

Under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, Ogun State has experienced stability and continuous development. His administration has remained steadfast in its commitment to fulfilling campaign promises and supporting institutions that promote democracy, such as IPAC.

The claims of financial misconduct are not only absurd but also show the desperation of those making them. Governor Abiodun has provided unwavering support to IPAC, ensuring that the council has the necessary resources to function effectively. This includes funding for the completion of the IPAC secretariat, a project that symbolizes the governor’s commitment to strengthening democratic institutions in the state.

In contrast to the disarray of the previous IPAC leadership, the current administration, led by Comrade Abayomi Sanyaolu, has made great strides in promoting transparency and inclusivity. Political parties are now working together in a spirit of collaboration, moving away from the infighting and mismanagement that plagued the council in the past.

A Call for Security Intervention

Hon. Oke Rotimi said, “Now the faction of former leaders has gone as far as making threats of “war,” a deeply troubling development that should not be taken lightly.” Such rhetoric poses a serious threat to the peace and security of Ogun State. , It is imperative that security agencies investigate these individuals and hold them accountable for any attempts to incite violence and unrest.

Governor Abiodun’s administration has maintained peace in the state, and the people of Ogun State have every right to enjoy that stability without fear of politically motivated disruption. The safety of the citizens and the leaders of IPAC must be protected from reckless individuals seeking to further their agendas.

Moving Forward with Unity

Hon. Oke Rotimi further disclosed that, despite the distractions caused by these former leaders, the current IPAC administration remains committed to the ideals of unity and development. The council continues to work with all political stakeholders in Ogun State to ensure that the democratic process remains strong and that the state continues on its path toward progress.

In conclusion, Hon. Oke Rotimi, the Director General of IPAC Ogun State, urges the people of Ogun State, to disregard these baseless accusations and to continue supporting the efforts of Governor Abiodun’s administration.

Ogun State is on course to become a model of good governance and sustainable development, and the current leadership will not allow petty political squabbles to derail that progress. And that, it is essential to recognize these allegations for what they truly are: a last-ditch effort by discredited leaders to claw their way back into relevance. The people of Ogun State deserve leadership that is focused on building a better future, not engaging in politically motivated smear campaigns.
