Ogun Pharmacists Express Readiness to Tackle Global Health Challenges

To commemorate World Pharmacists Day 2024, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) Ogun State Chairman, Pharm (Otunba) Adewale Adenugba, emphasized the critical role pharmacists play in addressing global healthcare challenges.
“Pharmacists are at the heart of healthcare delivery, ensuring safe medication distribution, expert advice, and collaboration with other professionals for optimal patient outcomes,” Adenugba stated.
He highlighted pharmacists’ evolution from dispensers to integral healthcare players, contributing to preventive care, health education, drug development, and medication safety. In Ogun State, pharmacists collaborate with public health institutions to tackle diseases, deliver vaccinations, and promote public health awareness.
Adenugba stressed the importance of innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional development to meet growing healthcare demands.
He commended Ogun State pharmacists for their excellence and dedication, urging them to redouble efforts, innovate, collaborate, and prioritize patient needs.
“The world is counting on us, and I have no doubt that we will rise to the challenge,” Adenugba concluded.
