Ogun Peace Corps Commandant Commend Senate for Affirming Dickson Akoh Owner Of Peace Corps Bill
The Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria, Ogun State Commato, Olufemi Akinyemi has appealed to residents not to fall for the antics of impersonators who are claiming to be the owner of the bill passed by both Chambers of the National Assembly and currently waiting for the Presidential assent.
He made this known while commending the Senate for coming out clear on the issue of the real owner of the bill and the identity of those who are claiming to be Nigeria Peace Corps which is yet to legally take off, based on the clause of the bill which says upon the dissolution of the existing Peace Corps of Nigeria, the existing body will automatically translate to Nigeria Peace Corps.
The Senate had affirmed the National Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria, Professor Dickson Akoh as the owner of the bill through the statement signed by Senator Ali Ndume in his capacity as the sponsor of the bill in the Senate.
The Ogun State Commandant however appealed to people who have questions or information to pass across to visit the Command of the Corps located at number 1, Afolabi Soyode Street, Asero Housing Estate, Abeokuta for clarifications and they should as well report any suspects activities of the impersonators to the command or other security agencies.
