Ogun: PDP Holds Primary Elections on Sept, 5th, 7th For Chairmanship, Councillorship Aspirants

The People’s Democratic Party, Ogun state set to hold its primary elections for the chairmanship, and councillorship aspirants, who are vying from under the umbrella of the party.

This was disclosed by the Party’s Publicity Secretary, Afolabi Orekoya, in a press statement made available to journalists.

He stated that the party has scheduled Thursday, the 5th, and Saturday, 7the 7th of September as respective dates for for the Councillorship and Chairmanship Primary Elections across the 236 Wards and 20 LGs.

According to him “Hundreds of aspirants from the 236 Wards and 20 Local Governments of Ogun State obtained the party’s Nomination forms and were screened for eligibility to contest in the Local Government Elections coming up in November”

Orekoya encouraged the members of the party to go out peacefully for the Primaries in their various wards to elect the Councillors of their Choice.

Meanwhile, among the screened candidates at the Party Secretariat in Abeokuta was the former Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Chief Wale Adedayo who is recontesting for the Chairmanship position in Ijebu East Local Government’.
