Ogun IPAC Leaders Meet Alake, as Alake Encourages To Maintain Peace, Harmony
The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ogun State, under the leadership of Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi, has led a delegation of political leaders representing various political parties in Ogun State to the Ake Palace on a significant courtesy visit to the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo to seek Royal blessings.
The meeting was part of efforts to foster unity and collaboration among political factions in the state while also discussing pertinent issues regarding the future of Ogun State politics.
Earlier in his remark, the IPAC Chairman, Comrade Abayomi Sanyaolu, disclosed that the council has christened its office as “Democracy House” to ensure a collective vision for restoring Ogun State to its former glory as the “Gateway State.”
Sanyaolu emphasized the importance of progressive governance and the need for all political stakeholders to work together towards achieving peace and stability in the region.
He said, “We believe that Ogun State has a bright future ahead; it is time for us to set aside our differences and collaborate towards returning the state to a path of normalcy, development, and progress.”
Sanyaolu also stated that it is observed that Alake’s royal blessing remained significant to the success of majorities of political officeholders in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
He recalled that many of them strived to visit Alake for his blessing, and once they did, they became successful in their Political journey while declaring that Ogun State remained a state where people came to learn how democracy works.
“We have inaugurated the first IPAC secretariat in Ogun, and named “Democracy House” to celebrate one year in office of this administration through major support of the Governor Dapo Abiodun”.
“Across the country, Ogun State is the only place where politics is learnt,
“The main reason for this is that Ogun State is the central of politics; whoever wants to become anything in Nigeria must come for blessings in Ogun”.
Sanyaolu also commended the governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun for his immense support and his commitment to good governance in the state.
“His Excellency Gov. Abiodun has done well for us. He supported us in getting the secretariat and did well for us, and we acknowledged his support and efforts. We want 2027 to be another good record for us in Ogun state; that is why we are here”.
Reacting to this, His Royal Majesty, Oba Gbadebo, welcomed the delegation warmly and expressed his support for such initiatives that seek to unite the political landscape of Ogun State.
Alake supports the notion that Ogun State is the best of everything and anything good starts in the State.
He underscored the importance of traditional institutions in mediating and fostering peace among differing political views.
He recalled that the Sultan of Sokoto called him recently to commend Yoruba culture especially the non-discriminating side of their culture.
He said, “When Sultan called he said, you Yoruba people are trying how do you do it that Muslim daughter will marry to Christian and vice versa and my response was that in Yoruba land we don’t discriminate against religion and I’m happy that he called to discuss that with me, It true that the best t of everything and anything good started here”.
