Ogun Govt. Begins Distribution Over 300,000 Packs Of Palliative

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has flagged off the distribution of 300,000 10kg bags of rice as palliative to cushion the effect of the the subsidy removal to the citizens of Ogun State.

The flag-off took place at the governor’s office Arcade Ground, in Abeokuta the Ogun state capital on Friday, making it a significant day to start the month of September.

The Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun disclosed that the bags of rice will be distributed to the 4, 500 polling units in Ogun State accordingly, adding that there would be no room for diversion or hurting of the palliative by anybody.

He said it is part of the efforts of the State Government to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidies on the indigenes of the State.

While also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the initiative, assuring that the palliative will get to the nook and cranny of the state, as all major stakeholders were present.

“The palliative will get to intended beneficiaries, irrespective of political parties”.

I assured you that within one week, the people of the State would have felt the distribution of the palliatives”

Abidoun appreciated the residents of the State for their patience while pleading with them to continue to be patient.

Major stakeholders were present at the flag-off to ascertain the inclusivity of Governor Abidoun.
