Ogun: Ex-Local Government Chairmen Unite Against Wale Adedayo’s Interview with Cable

In a shocking turn of events, the  Former Local Government Chairmen have kicked against Wale Adedayo’s recent interview in The Cable online, claiming that it was all lies and fabricated.

Alhaji Babatunde Emilola-Gazal the Chairman former chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government and ALGON with 17 Council Chairmen vehemently denied the allegation of Adedayo’s during a press conference held on Monday at Iwe Iroyin press center in Abeokuta.

Emilola-Gazal noted Adedayo’s plans to pull others down.

“The truth began to unravel on August 25, 2023, when Adedayo sent a letter to the WhatsApp group platform of Local Government Chairmen, which was meant for Chief Olusegun Osoba. However, the letter went viral on social and print media, causing widespread shock”.

“An emergency meeting was convened to address the issue, where Adedayo’s actions were condemned. Despite this, Adedayo continued to spread falsehoods, claiming that ALGON mandated him to write the letter”.

He further stated that to resolve the matter amicably, a meeting with the state governments was held where Adedayo prostrated and begged for forgiveness.

Emilola faulted Adedayo’s recent interview revealing a shocking about-face, as he denies involvement in the meeting and prostration.

The former Local Government Chairmen united in their stance against Adedayo’s deceit, urging him to desist from his destructive path and come clean.

He summited that actions are a stark reminder that there is always a payback day for those who attempt to destroy others.

“We beseech Him to desist from this line of action, do a soul search, and come out clean.
It is most inhuman to attempt to destroy those who stuck out their neck, trying to protect you when the chips were down. There is always a payback day”.
