In a continued effort to appreciate committed souls to the work of God, the Christ Apostolic Church has honoured four of its founding pastors at a special service held in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
The four pastors are Pastor Kunle Malaolu, Elder Johnson Aina, Elder Julius Idowu Dada, and Pastor Joseph Olalere Ojo.
Pastor Joseph Olalere Ojo, came to Abeokuta in 1956 he was a founding member of the church in the year 1957-1958. He is the first usher in the church. Due to his zeal and passion for the church development, he was path of the first set of elders appointed in the church assembly before he became a pastor of Christ Apostolic Church
Pastor Kunle Malaolu joined the church in the year 1990 and the church authority appointed him as church choir secretary in 1993 because of his zeal and passion for the church development and later promoted and appointed as elder in the year 1999, which allowed him to become the Church secretary in the year 2000, an office which he chair till the year 2015. The church authority did not relent In promoting him for his unreserved effort towards the church’s development he was ordained as pastor of Christ Apostolic Church in the year 2020 and became the district secretary the same year. He became zonal secretary in the year 2015 and later became DCC secretary after the church was upgraded to district coordinating council.
He was the first interpreter of the church and the first Sunday school supervisor for the Lafenwa district.
Elder Johnson Aina was born into a CAC family, he joined CAC Lafenwa in the year 1971, after which he was part of the elders appointed in the year 1984. Between 1984 and 1990, he was appointed as the secretary of the church. Due to his vibrancy in the work of God, the then-church authority moved him from the office of the church secretary to the office of the church treasurer from the year 1990 to 2015.
He was a member of the Ireti- ogo society till his death.
Elder Julius Idowu Dada joined the church in the year 1969 after which he joined the Iruju Christi Society where he was appointed as the treasurer of the society in the early 1980s till date. He became an elder in the church in the year 2015 after much conviction.
The church authority appointed him as the church treasurer in the year 2016 a position he held till August this year 2023, under the watch of DCC Superintendent pastor I.K Oluwatusin
The DCC Superintendent pastor I.k Oluwatusin thanks them for their service to God, the church congregation, and the development of the church in general and he further charges them not to relent in the work of God in Christ
