NSCDC to Deploy Over 3000 Personnel For LG Polls In Ogun

The Ogun State’s New Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Commandant Remi Ekundayo has disclosed her readiness to ensure a free, fair council election in the State.
Ekundayo stated this during a send forth ceremony of commandant, David Ojelabi in the state held on Thursday at the Ogun State’s Commands Heaquatater in Abeokuta the State capital.

She disclosed that not less than 3,150 personnel would be deployed across the 20 local government and wards in the state for the safety of voters, and to prevent all sorts of election brouhaha during the election in the state.
Ekundayo assured that all hands are on deck to ensure that Ogun state remains a peaceful state while emphasizing her commitment to take a bold step in enhancing his predecessor’s work.
“Our core values are, Safety school, disaster management, private guard company training, and others. We are going to deploy 3-150 personnel across the 20 local governments of the state and wards to ensure peace in the forthcoming election”.
She also noted that her administration in the state would work hand-in-hand with other sister security agents to ensure peaceful elections in the state, adding that she is committed to the peace of Ogun state.

Meanwhile, the outgoing commandant David Ojelabi acknowledged the support of his officers, noting that it was a good moment working with them.
He said “I came to the state as Commandant and left as Assistant Commander General, I came with Mr. Ojelabi and I left with Dr. Ojelabi. I acknowledge the support of my men for their sense of understanding towards the achievement of my administration”.
Also, SA on security to Ogun state governor AIG Olushola Subar (rtd) admonished commandant Remi Ekundayo to emulate the good steps of the outgoing Commandant while wishing Ojelabi success in his new assignment.
