
LG Poll: Balogun Unveils Campaign Committees, Gets Support of Leaders, Members
In a decisive action to ensure the victory of Hon. Afeez Balogun in the forthcoming Local Government elections, Abeokuta South leaders, stalwarts, and members have expressed readiness to commit to the victory of Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez, the Chairmanship candidate of the APC for Abeokuta South Local government.
The expression was made during the official inauguration of 17 committee officials that will steer the campaign to victory, today at the APC’s Abeokuta South LG Secretariat in Abeokuta the Ogun state capital.
In his remark, Hon. Balogun emphasised reasons for solidarity amongst the leaders and members of the party, noting that victory is a collective effort to which everyone must be committed.
He posited that the “Everyone matters” mantra is deliberate to ensure that everyone is carried along, thereby assuring that he would run an open-door administration if elected.
The committee is to solidify the sense of belonging, all committees must function, it is a collective responsibility and for us, the “Everyone matters” mantra is for a reason, we shouldn’t be afraid, he assured.
We know we have the best team so far in terms of experience and manpower, I urge everyone to put in their best in their area of engagement. Hon. Afeez BALOGUN emphasized an open-door policy that everyone matters. We shall all benefit from this struggle he posited.
Also speaking at the event was his running mate, Mrs. Oluranti Ogunmokun who admitted that BOA candidacy is God’s plan thereby appealing to all members to join forces together in ensuring victory for BOA in the forthcoming elections
She also admonished members and all committees to start engaging themselves with house-to-house campaigns.
Hon. BALOGUN also used the opportunity to seek support for not just his candidacy but for all councilors flying the flag of our dear party APC at the elections.
Meanwhile, the outgoing Abeokuta South Chairman Hon. Omolaja Majekodunmi assured his maximum support, thereby appreciating Hon. Balogun for the opportunity to serve in his campaign team.
Other activities at the event were the presentation of appointment letters to all the seventeen committees (17 ) teams that will steer the course of the campaign
Present at the event were Tunde Delu, elder Owolabi, Leader Olawoyin, immediate past chairman Omolaja Majekodunmi, Akeem Amosun, Hon. Bayo, and all councillorship candidates, teeming fans of our incoming chairman and so many party faithful who believed in the “Everyone matter” mantra.
