Just in: Court remands Popular singer Portable in Prison

The popular Zazu crooner has been remanded at Ilaro prison till he could fulfil his bail condition.

Okikiola was arraigned before the magistrate court in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun presided over by Chief Magistrate A.S Shoneye on five counts of charges related to assault and theft.

On the counts of his charges, he pleaded guilty to those charges.

The Chief Magistrate Judge said the offences committed were bailable and granted him bail of 300,000 with two sureties who must reside within the jurisdiction of the honourable court.

Conversely, the court granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 over assault and theft charges with two sureties and the court ordered that he should be transferred to the Ilaro Correctional Centre pending the time he could meet up the court requirement for bail.

Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned to the 26th of April for the commencement of trial.
