June 12: Gov Abiodun Lauds Tinubu’s Loyalty to Democracy

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has lauded the loyalty of President Bola Tinubu to democracy saying that it was the key major to his presidential emergence.

Abiodun stated this during the June 12 celebration at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital on Monday.

He noted the significance of the June 12, 1993, presidential election, which was won by Abiola but annulled by the military government at the time.

The governor stated that the struggle for the actualization of the June 12 mandate was a turning point for Nigeria’s democracy and played a significant role in the country’s political history.

Abiodun said “His loyalty to Abiola, who is widely regarded as a symbol of democracy in Nigeria, may be seen as a positive factor for his presidential prospects.

“June 12 is a turning point in Nigeria’s political journey as an entity.

He added “I commend and salute the former president Muhammadu Buhari for proclaiming MKO Abiola as GCFR.
