Intellect group holds Iftar with Muslims urges youth to embrace fear of God

A non-governmental group, Intellect group in Ogun State has called on the Nigerian youths to embrace the fear of Allah, saying that it is important to impact to live with the fear of Allah.
This was stated during the first edition of Iftar with Muslims and Tafsri held with members of the group and community members at Quarry, Abeokuta, the state capital.
Speaking on the theme: “who is pious” the guest lecturer Sheik Abdulazeez Adebayo (Kamura) who is also the chief Imam of Ogun State Secretariate Mosque Governor’s Office Oke-Mosan urged the faithful Muslims to always strive more to do good deeds with fear of God.
He pointed out that it is one of the highlighted ways to become pious to Almighty Allah.
Imam Abdulazeez narrated a story of a man who was blessed because of the fear of God that he had in mind, saying that the fear of God would make a man do the rightful thing that is expected of human beings to do.
He also preached from the holy Quran on the authenticity of the words God, declaring that the word can’t be changed and would never be changed this was in Quran Chapter 2 verses 1-5 of the holy book.
Sheikh AbdulAzeez also added that having a good conscience is an element of being pious, thereby, urging the members to increase in doing good and to also observe salat at the right time.
The President of Intellect group Temidayo Fasanya appreciated the God Almighty, members and the lectures being delivered by the Imam, he noted that the group would continue to increase in service to humanity as it is known to be the main goal of the group.
Fasanya called on the youths to let love lead and peace to continue to take charge in whatever they want to do, positioning that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
“It is just a simple message that you must learn how to give back to your society, as there is this popular saying that “when you help one person out of the problem, you have helped over 1,000 people out of that problem”
“As a youth, we must always preach peace and unity, embrace love and must also do whatever we want to do with the fear of God”. He added.
Also, the pioneer President of the group, intellect Jamiu Ogunwolu maintained that government alone cannot lessen the stress on everybody, and it is one of the styles and aims of the intellect group to ease the stress on people.
He disclosed it is what many of the developed countries were doing to their citizens, pointing out that in America there is something called pantries where people get free food and other needs, which had helped them to curb criminal acts.
Ogunwolu boasted that it is one of the styles that the Intellect group emulated by giving back to society, sending the less privileged back to school and empowering them with the necessary equipment.
He noted that if other groups like that of Intellect emulate the same style crime would be minimal or eradicated in the country.
Ogunwolu advised that the youth should join hands in assisting society, saying that God rewards both physically and spiritually. That is payback for having a good mind and doing good for society.
He also posited that giving back to society is one of the best services one can do, while also urging the government to bring back lost hope to the nation.
