IGP Disburses Over 45million Beneficiary Funds To Family of Departed Officers
As part of the effort of the Nigerian Police Force on the welfarism scheme, the Nigerian Police Force, Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba has disbursed over 45 million naira beneficiary funds to 26 family members of Police officers in the Ogun state that lost their lives in the cause of duty.
The disbursement was done on Tuesday, at the Nigerian Police Force Ogun State Headquarters, Eleweran the state capital.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Police Ogun State, CP Olarenwaju Yomi urged the beneficiaries of the funds to judiciously make use of the money, for a good purpose.
Olarenwaju disclosed that the IGP in his continued effort to ensure that the family left behind by compatriots who lost their lives, while they were in active service, disbursed over a 45million to support the family.
He added that the money was shared by categories among the 26 beneficiaries to enable them to cater for the family.
“For some of you who know one trade or another, please utilised this money judiciously, and for some of you who want to sponsor your academic career, please, make sure you come out with flying colours to become better in society”.
In her vote of thanks, Mrs Owie Blessing who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries of the funds appreciated the federal government for the kind gestures.
She also, commended the IGP for his inclusiveness of them for the funds, while praying for the entire police officers in Nigeria.
