In a powerful display of community spirit, IBMAK members and stakeholders gathered at Akomoje to tackle the pressing issue of security breaches in Iberekodo, Akomoje, Ajitaadun, and Mokola.
The meeting, led by IBMAK Chairman Comr. Oladipo Adepegba, brought together residents from all walks of life to find solutions to the persistent breaking of stalls and shops.
With a sense of urgency, Adepegba emphasized the need for collective action to ensure security, stressing that development cannot thrive in an insecure environment.
The meeting resulted in a three-pronged plan to:
– Enforce a strict 11 pm closing time for all shops
– Impose severe punishment on loiterers caught after 12 am
– Hire additional security personnel funded by a monthly security fee
The Commander of the Amokteku Araganka area assured the meeting that his team would intensify security measures, urging residents to report any suspicious activities.
He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility, with his team committed to protecting lives and property.
The stakeholders unanimously agreed to the new security measures, marking a significant step towards a safer, more secure community.
