Group urges Buhari to arrest agitators of interim government

Alamagamated of the APC Support group has staged a protest against developing rumours that there could be an interim government succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari Government administration to nullify the presidential election won by the Asiewaju Bola Tinubu.

The group expressed displeasure over the development warning that President Muhammad Buhari should not listen to agitators who are working on the disunity of Nigeria.

The protest kickstarted in Abeokuta the state capital on Thursday and ended at the governor’s office in Oke Mosan, the state capital, narrating that they had taken the protest to the governor’s office so the Governor can relate their agitation to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.

Speaking with newsmen, the South-west Chairman Ganiu Akeem Adesina stated that there is a need to defend the mandate of the President-elect noting that Tinubu’s emergence must be upheld.

“Some people are calling for an interim government and we supporters of Tinubu since 2019 are saying Tinubu must be sworn in. These people are calling for the cancellation of the election which is against the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We are here at the governor’s office to pass our message through the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to pass the message to President Muhammad Buhari that we in the South-West are saying no to the interim government in Nigeria”.

Also speaking the Ogun state Coordinator of the group Akinbode Olusola explained that they had moved around the Town to send the message to indigenous/residents of Ogun State that over 276,000 voters that voted for Prince Dapo Abiodun were not fools.

“We are saying again that over 8Millons voters that voted for Asiwaju Tinubu are not stupid. If anybody is angry should follow the due process and go to Court. No to interim government”.

“We are passing a message of peace. We are telling people that we are civilized people. So if anybody is saying something to break us, we should not cause War. We don’t want the intervention of foreigners to invade our Nation. We are speaking for peace and one Nigeria”.he posited.
