Ex-Convict Rearrested In Ogun For Stealing
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps, has apprehended an ex-convict for theft.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.
The suspect, Ezekiel Victor Thankgod, was apprehended by the patrol team of the Corps at approximately on Wednesday, while stealing a Royal Air Conditioner from Covenant Stores, in Oju-ore, Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area.
Thankgod has a history of stealing money and phones and was released from a correctional center in January this year.
Commander Ganzallo emphasized that during the preliminary investigation, conducted by ACC Samuel Yusuf, the Iyesi Area Commander of the Corps, it was revealed that the apprehended suspect had been previously arrested for similar offenses.
The suspect confessed to the crime and disclosed that he resides anywhere, mentioning his association with Oloko Community in Ota.
Furthermore, Commander Ganzallo disclosed that various items, including charms, a local instrument used for drug paraphernalia, a lighter, a local ring, and cowries, were found on the suspect.
In conclusion, Commander Ganzallo stated that the suspect, along with the recovered exhibit and items, has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Onipanu Divisional Police Headquarters, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
