Crisis Rocks Lagos APC, As Ojelabi Attacked by Aggrieved Members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State is facing a crisis due to infighting among stakeholders over leadership in Local Government Areas (LGAs).

The crisis escalated when chairman Cornelius Ojelabi was attacked at the party secretariat by aggrieved members from Alimosho Local Government, Acme, Ogba, Ikeja.

Protesters, who stormed the secretariat, accused Ojelabi of bias in managing the crisis in their LGA.

They demanded solutions to end the leadership crisis in Alimosho, but Ojelabi insisted on involving current public officeholders in the decision-making process.

The protesters, angered by his response, removed his cap before police intervention. The crisis has been brewing in various LGAs, with the party struggling to find a resolution.

“According to a viral video trending online, Ojelabi was attacked by aggrieved party members from Alimosho Local Government, who stormed the secretariat to express their displeasure on how Ojelabi was managing the crisis in their local government”.

“The protesters accused him of bias and were about to beat him up when policemen waded in and rescued the chairman away.
But before the police intervention, the angry members had removed the chairman’s cap”
