BREAKING: Mapoly Rector, Education Commissioner, Breaks Governor’s Order On Immediate Payment Of Staff Salary Arrears

Following Governor Abiodun’s order for the immediate release and payment of the bailout arrears of staff of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, FortressNews obtained that the Rector Dr. Odedeji Samson and the education Commissioner have allegedly shifted the third tranche of the payment to mid-December.
FortressNews reliably gathered that the striking unions suspended their strike as a mark of honor for the kind intervention of His Excellency who graciously released N480m bail out with an order for immediate payment to the staff.
However, as against the management agreement with the resolution of the Congress that the October salary which was meant to be the last tranche of the payment be paid on Friday 24th November, the Rector alleged not to pay to hang the delay on the advice of the education Commissioner, Prof. Arigbabu.
Meanwhile, a staff who claimed anonymity claimed staff of the institution were not pleased with the decision as they decried the act saying it is tantamount to a break of trust to change the goalpost in the middle of a match as their actions are a break of order of the Governor.
