
Balogun i-W.I.S.H Program Takes Off: Empowers 12 CDAs with Cash, Donates 120 Street Lights, Others
The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez (BOA) Initiative for Welfare, Insurance, Security, and Healthcare (i-W.I.S.H) has officially kicked off with a series of empowerment programs and donations aimed at transforming the lives of constituents.
In an official meeting held in Abeokuta, which had all the 12 CDAs/CDC executives present, Hon. Balogun empowered each of the 12 Community Development Councils (CDCs) with resources and equipment to enhance their community development projects.
The empowerment package included financial support, of N50,000 cash for each of the CDAs, and the provision of 120 Solar Powered Street lights.
This donations are part of his administration’s efforts to improve security, reduce crime rates, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
The CDC executive appreciated the Chairman and his team for the efforts, and they attested that Hon.Balogun had set the record as the first Executive Chairman to have an engagement with all 12 CDAs and also attended a CDC meeting with tangible support in Abeokuta South local government.
The chairman in his remarks said i-W.I.S.H initiative is specially designed to better the welfare of Abeokuta South LG constituents. His “Everyone truly matters” mantra has been his major motivation for development
Other highlights of the i-W.I.S.H Program is the introduction of 3000 Health Insurance Plans for constituents of Abeokuta South Local Government. The health Insurance would be launched today at the local government secretariat to celebrate its 100days in Office.
