3rd Edition: Oluwalogbon Electronics SWAN Media Cup to Commence on 7, June

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN has rolled out the fixtures for the 3rd edition of the Oluwalogbon Electronics and SWAN media cup, as the competition kick starts on June 7. 

 

The media cup was sponsored by Oluwalogbon Electronics, and the fixture roll was held on Saturday, at the SWAN Secretariat in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.

 

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Sports Writers Association Ogun state, council, Ogunsiji Micheal- Azeez stated that the competition fosters unity amongst media practitioners in the state.

 

He posited that Journalists need time to relax, even though they are known as jack of all trades.

 

Ogunsiji said, the competition would create an avenue for journalists to Jaw jaw, and familiarise themselves, this would be our contribution to see to the well-being of journalists.

 

The competition will kick start on 7th Jun 2024 at the Fun Tuff 5 Aside in MKO Abiola Stadium.

DAY 1: 7 JUNE, 2024

 

1. Correspondents vs Consolidated – 10 am

2. Family FM vs Fresh FM – 11 am

3. Federated vs OGTV – 12 pm

4. State Info vs Eagle FM – 1 pm

5. Splash FM vs Paramount FM – 2 pm

6. Smash FM vs Roots FM – 3 pm

 

DAY 2: 9 June, 2024

 

7. Consolidated vs Correspond – 10 am

8. Fresh FM vs Family FM – 11 am

9. OGTV vs Federated – 12 pm

10. Eagle FM vs State Info – 1 pm

11. Paramount vs Splash FM – 2 pm

12. Roots FM vs Smash FM – 3 pm

He explained that the final is expected to be played on 18, but because of Eil Kabir, the committee agreed on Friday 21 June 2024 at the same venue.

 

The chairman planning committee Rafiu Alarape, disclosed that the winner of the competition would be decorated with a Cup and a sum of 100,000 naira and 2nd would get a sum of 50,000 naira only, while the third place would get 30,000 naira only.
