Twenty-five-year-old Cancer Victim Needs Financial Support To win Cancer Battle

A 25-year-old lady, Kikelomo Raji is in of financial assistance to undergo life-saving therapy against cancer.
Kikelomo was admitted to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in Lagos, as she is battling against a debilitating health condition that requires immediate medical attention.
It was revealed that Kikelomo’s health troubles began two years ago, with frequent episodes of excruciating pain and discomfort.
“Despite seeking medical care at various hospitals, her condition has continued to worsen, leaving her unable to carry out even basic daily activities”.
Doctors at LUTH have diagnosed Kikelomo with ‘Nodular sclerosis lymphoma, lymphatic cancer that affects the immune system and requires specialized treatment here in Nigeria but the cost of the procedure is beyond her means.
Speaking to reporters, Kikelomo’s friend who pleaded anonymity expressed deep concern about her financial situation. “She is in so much pain, and I know that the therapy is the only way to make her better, but she cannot afford to pay for it”, she said.
Therefore, Kikelomo’s family and friends have launched a fundraising campaign to raise the necessary funds for her therapy.

The doctor’s report on Kikelomo’s health reads in part. “Miss Raji Kikelomo was referred to the LUTH cancer treatment late 2021. She completed the six (6) cycles of recommended chemotherapy consisting of Adriamycin/Bleomycin/Vincristine/Dacarbazine (ABVD) due to her minimal response to the
“standard chemotherapy. She also had radiotherapy to the chest with minimal response. There are four (4) subtypes of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She has the subtype called Nodular Sclerosing (NS).
“We urge members of the public to support her in any way they can so that she can get the therapy she needs to regain her health.”
As KiKelomo fights for her life, her story is a reminder of the urgent need for improved healthcare services in Nigeria.
