… Bid farewell to Ogun State Pilgrims
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has charged the Ogun State pilgrims on good conduct and acts of kindness as well as unity that will portray the state in a good light.
Abiodun gave the admonition on Saturday during the farewell ceremony held for the State’s 675 pilgrims to the holy city of Saudi Arabia at Oba’s complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the State capital.
Governor Abiodun, represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele urged the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the State in particular and Nigeria in general.
Abiodun, while appealing to them to obey constituted authorities, urged the pilgrims to pray for President Bola Tinubu, Nigeria and Ogun State.
Also speaking were the State’s Amirul-Hajj, Adebayo Apelogun and the Wakilu of Ogun, Edo and Delta, Sheikh Iskeel Lawal, in their separate remarks, thanked the State government for providing moral and financial support for the pilgrims.
He assured good representation of Ogun Pilgrims, noting that he would lead with his experience to deliver successfully.
However, the batch of pilgrims has left the State for the holy city.
